PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PJB) and PT Indonesia Power (IP) are subsidiaries of PT PLN (Persero) with diversified businesses including power generation, operation and maintenance, and engineering, procurement and construction. PJB and IP have received assignments from PLN to develop power plants under an Independent Power Producer (IPP) scheme, while retaining majority stake in each project.
PJB and IP hereby announce the commencement of a competitive process to select suitable partners to develop, finance, build and operate one or more coal-fired IPP projects in Indonesia.
PJB and IP will commence the partner selection process for up to seven (7) IPP projects, mostly mine mouth coal-fired power plants, ranging from 200 – 600 MW in capacity, located in Sumatra and Kalimantan (“Project Nusantara”). PJB and IP intend to hold road shows in Jakarta, Indonesia and select major international cities in mid December 2017 to elaborate the details of the IPP projects, the opportunity for the potential partner and the selection process.
